More about the role
In addition to the responsibilities described under
The Role tab, your essential functions will include:
- Serving as ABFAS front office liaison.
- Receiving and distributing incoming mail and deliveries.
- Serving as primary interface with visitors and vendors. Quick question for you - click here
- Answering the main ABFAS telephone and providing basic information to callers; routing calls to staff as necessary.
- Serving as lead for the online verification service. Contributing to ABFAS website and online verification service improvements.
- Maintaining member license information. Verifying, through the podiatric state licensing boards, that members/board qualified podiatrists have a current license to practice and research information on any adverse actions taken against a member by a licensing, judicial or other governmental entity.
- Supporting the Certification Services department in member outreach efforts, tracking member communication and updating database contact information.
- Assisting the Credentialing Manager in working with Podiatry Residency Resource to assure residents meet board qualification requirements and helps process board qualification letters for candidates that achieve this status.
- Processing various member requests including, but not limited to, password/username retrieval, updating of personal contact information, exam registration, status verification, annual fee payment, use of the ABFAS logo, and compliance with board policies.
- Supporting other office administrative functions, including, but not limited to, certified letter mailing, file and database maintenance, and meeting support.

You should have the ability to pay robust attention to the details while also meeting time and deadline objectives. While we'll look to you to achieve goals independently, you'll also have support when you need it. Because we are a smaller organization,
everyone is hands-on, and you'll need to be comfortable switching between priorities daily. Responsiveness, with excellent follow-through skills will be key.
